pear picking

I've been working on this post off and on and I've decided I'm just going to post it as is.......I won't have time to complete it for weeks!!! So here's a partially captioned pear picking adventure......



So with the frost warning coming this week, we needed to get the pears off the tree....


Here are two pictures of the beautiful pears loaded on our tree.


Part of the picking was done from the back of the truck. Brent supervised our monkeys......I mean kids as they helped pick the pears. Everyone participated, except me, who was off mowing like mad to get it all done that evening.

Here brent starts out standing on the edge of the truck, but then.........

he put a board across the back of the truck, which gave him a much better reach.
