Than and Collin's weekend

Our wonderful other neighbor, for whom we feed animals when they travel, invited Than and Collin to join her in showing her sheep and helping at lambing season. In return they will earn either their own sheep or goats as she has both. So this weekend they attended their first show.

Here they wait to enter the ring.

Than is placing the legs of the sheep so that it is standing square.

The boys are standing by to help move the sheep around as needed.

Collin is standing in front of the three rams they helped show.

This guy got grand champion for his breed.

Here he looks as if he's contemplating eating his ribbin! :)

Collin is behind the sheep to help move it along and then when he stands he helps get him square.

Than is parting the wool to show the crowd the whiteness that the judge had just talked about.

This ram got grand champion also, but he is part of a friend's flock.

We went to see them yesterday as they were there from Friday evening till Sunday evening. We had such a good time and I think our family may be headed towards owning sheep and herding dogs! :)
